Unlock all editions from Windows 8 ISO Image

Just like Windows 7 used to house each edition inside it So does Windows 8.However the process to unlock all editions, differs slightly in Windows 8 ISO.

Actually Windows 8 ISO image contains all editions and Windows 8 Product Key defines which edition to be installed. Though the selection screen is locked by default but there is a way to unlock it. In this blog post, I will show you step by step process of unlocking all the edition of Windows 8 from a single ISO.

Note: The following method is legal.

Requirements :

• Windows 8 ISO
• ISO editing tool ( PowerISO preferably , others tend to corrupt the iso)

How To:

• Open Notepad to create a file with following content and save it as ei.cfg on desktop

[Channel]
 Retail

• Open PowerISO and browse Windows 8 ISO which you downloaded from Technet or MSDN site.
• Now Open Sources folder of your ISO and drag and drop the ei.cfg file you created in previous step.
• Thats it. Now click save as and select location to save your unlocked ISO.
• Your windows 8 disc now containing both Core and Pro editions. :D
